In June 2022, then-Deputy Sheriff Yesenia Sanchez surprised many by her outright win in a 3-way race against a well-entrenched incumbent to become Alameda County's next Sheriff. Since taking her oath of office on January 3rd, Sheriff Sanchez (the first Latina and woman to ever hold this office) has been meeting with community leaders to hear what they feel is needed to reform the office and to share her transition plan.
PLEASE do not miss this opportunity to join in a lovely afternoon gathering and conversation with a woman from the community who leads by example!
